WAM NorCal* is pleased to present the next event in its Technical Discussion Series, a live panel on Innovations in Microfinance: Lessons Learned from the Field. WAM members will discuss their triumphs and frustrations in developing programs that push the boundaries of traditional microcredit.

Featured panelists will include:
- Bobbi Gray, Research and Evaluation Specialist at Freedom from Hunger, who will discuss Microfinance and Health Protection Services, a new initiative that fosters a sustainable approach to safeguarding MFI client health while also protecting the institutional bottom line.
- Jennifer Williams and Kristin Houk from NamasteDirect, who will talk about the new Namaste Business Development with Microcredit program that provides borrowers in Guatemala and Mexico with a combination of loans, vocational training, business mentorship, and access to technology.
- Staff members from FORGE, who will discuss their work with African refugees including past program experiences, their current agricultural lending program, and their decision to stop promoting microfinance activities in the communities that they serve.
